Stop managing inspections and NCRs on paper. NominalQC gives small manufacturers an audit-ready quality system they can use on day one — no training, no IT, no $500/month contract.
Built for manufacturers working to AS9100, ISO 9001, and IATF 16949 standards.
Every shop knows the symptoms.
Missing signatures, lapsed cal dates, unclosed NCRs — paper hides the gaps until the auditor finds them.
No system to catch recurring defects before shipment.
One unresolved NCR can end a customer relationship.
The four gates
Most QC software is a filing cabinet — it records what happened. NominalQC stands at the door, stopping the mistake at the exact moment it would be made.
Pick a part with an open quality alert and the inspection form locks behind a blocking modal — watch-fors and containment actions front and center — until the alert is acknowledged. And acknowledgments are per-person: one inspector’s signature never covers the whole shift.

A gauge with no calibration on record can’t be picked on the inspection form, and gauges out for cal or lost never appear at all. Tighten the policy further and the save itself is refused on any overdue gauge.

In Block mode the save is refused when the sample count comes in below plan, an off-plan gauge is used, or the required first/middle/last position isn’t tagged. Run Block on safety-critical parts and Warn on the rest.

With rotation on, the server hands each auditor their area and rejects off-assignment audits. Managers can be barred from auditing their own turf — and a finding’s champion can never verify their own fix.

Every gate starts friction-free — begin with warnings, then tighten to hard stops when your team is ready.
Real screens from the actual product — not mockups.
Define each part’s specs once — nominal, tolerances, units, decimal places. Add parts by hand or import your whole library from CSV in minutes.

Inspectors enter measurements and every sample is checked against spec instantly. Out-of-spec values flag in red, and the result rolls up to pass, fail, or conditional on its own.

Raise a nonconformance straight from the inspection — assign an owner, set severity, disposition, and a due date. Every action is tracked for your audit trail.

First-pass yield, NCR trends, and rejection hot spots — live, filterable, and exportable as customer-ready PDF reports whenever an auditor asks.

Yes. The Parts Library has CSV import with a ready-made template, so you can load your whole part list — specs, tolerances, customers — in one shot. And everything you enter can be exported again anytime.
NominalQC keeps exactly the records auditors ask to see: inspection logs with inspector traceability, NCRs with dispositions, CAPAs with root cause and effectiveness checks, and gauge calibration records with due dates. You still run your quality system — we make the evidence easy to produce.
Not quietly. Recorded inspection measurements and submitted audit answers are write-once at the database level — edits are rejected outright, not just discouraged. A closed NCR refuses changes to its details until it is formally reopened, and once work starts on a CAPA it becomes a permanent quality record that cannot be deleted. Where deletion is allowed, it leaves a named, timestamped entry in the activity log.
Most shops log their first inspection the same day. Add your parts (or import them from CSV), invite your team, and start inspecting. No IT project, no implementation contract, no training course.
Yes. NominalQC runs in the browser and works on phones, tablets, and shop computers. Nothing to install, nothing to maintain.
No. Inspectors and managers get accounts with roles (owner, admin, inspector, viewer). For operators without logins, quality alerts come with printable alert sheets and signature rosters so the floor can still acknowledge on paper.
Your records are encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3), with daily snapshots retained for 7 days — and you can download your own complete CSV export in one click, anytime. The full details are on our Trust & Security page. Read our Trust & Security page →
It leaves with you. Download a complete archive — inspections, measurements, NCRs, CAPAs, and your parts library as CSVs in a single ZIP — in one click, anytime. And if we ever closed shop, you would get 90 days’ notice and a complete data package before anything shut down.
